Hence, the original fraction is (x/y).

Numerator of a fraction is increased by 200%.

⇒ x + 200% of x

⇒ x + (200/100)x

⇒ x + 200x/100

⇒ (300x/100)

(ii)

Denominator of a fraction in increased by 350%.

⇒ y + 350% of y

⇒ y + (350/100)y

⇒ y + (350y/100)

⇒ (450y/100).

Given that the resultant fraction is 5/12.

$=>\frac{300x}{100}*\frac{100}{450y} =\frac{5}{12}$

$=>\frac{350x}{450y}=\frac{5}{12}$

$=> \frac{x}{y} = \frac{5}{12}*\frac{450}{300}$

$=> \frac{x}{y} = \frac{5}{8}$

Therefore, original fraction = 5/8.
