if a numerotor of a fraction is increased by 1 its value becomes 3/4 if the denominator is increased 2 the value becomes 1/2 find fraction​

Let the fraction is x/y , accordingly :-

(x+1)/y = 3/4. Or. 4x - 3y = - 4. …………….(1).

x/(y+2) = 1/2. Or. 2x - y. = 2. ………………(2).

From eqn. (1) & (2).

x/(-6–4) = y/(-8–8) = (-1)/(-4+6).

or, x/10 = y/16 = 1/2.

or, x = 10/2=5. , y = 16/2=8.

Thus , fraction is = x/y. = 5/8. Answer
