Correct questioñ :-

Find the value of k, if the pair of equations 3x + ky - 9 = 0 and x + 2y - 3 = 0 have infinitely many solutions.

Solutioñ :-

Given equations :-

3x + ky = 9 .....(1)

x + 2y = 3 .......(2)

For a pair of equations to have infinitely many solutions, a1/a2 = b1/b2 = c1/c2

Substituting the values,

3/1 = k/2 = 9/3

Solving for k,

k/2 = 9/3

3k = 18

k = 18/3

k = 6

Therefore, for k = 6, the pair of equations have infinitely many solutions.
