a1/a2≠b1/b2

then,

and the lines intersect each other a point.

however if it is dependent consistent i.e,

a1/a2=b1/b2=c1/c2

then,the lines are coincident

and if the equation is inconsistent,i.e

a1/a2=b1/b2≠c1/c2

then,

the lines are parallel.
