If a pair of shoes cost Rs. 106.35 and a pair of socks cost Rs. 18.65 how many sets of shoes and socks can be bought with Rs. 2000 ?

then, no.of shoes will be:-106.35x

no.of socks will be :-18.65x

no.of sets of shoes and socks will be:-106.35x+18.65x=1000

125x=1000

x=1000/125

x=8.

sets of shoes =106.35x=106.35(8)=851

sets of socks=18.65x=18.65(8)=149
