Given R1 = 12 ; R = 4.8

Therefore 4.8 = 12 * R2 /(12+R2)

4.8(12 + R2 ) = 12R2

57.6 + 4.8R2 = 12R2

57.6 = 12R2–4.8R2 = 7.2R2

Therefore R2 = 57.6/7.2 = 8 Ohms

X = 8 Ohms
