We know, angular velocity is a vector quantity . It is perpendicular upon plane of its motion . For finding direction of angular velocity , we have to use Right hand rule. e.g., curl the fingers of your right hand in the direction of the circular motion and your thumb points in the vector direction.
in simple :- when motion is anticlockwise in xy plane ⇒+z - direction of angular velocity
When motion is clockwise in my plane ⇒-z - direction of angular velocity

This way you see direction of angular velocity is -z direction .


Hence, option (c) is correct choice
