If a particle falls through a height; its potential energy decreases does this violate the law of conservation of energy? please explain why

No, it doesn't violate the law of conservation of energy since as the particle falls it's potential energy changes into kinetic energy and hence obeying the law of conservation of energy.

No, it do not violate the law of conservation of energy bcoz the potential energy is converted into kinetic energy. As the energy is being converted from one form to another form of energy, so the energy remains conserved. Thus the law is not violated.
