If a particle having an initial velocity of 20m/s moves with a uniform acceleration of 10 m/s? then the distance covered by it, when it attains a final velocity of 80 m/s is​

In detail:

To calculate time,

v = u + at

where, v =  final velocity

u =  initial velocity

a = acceleration

t = time

Now,

v = u + at

or, 80 = 20 + 10t

or, 60 = 10t

We get, t = 6 seconds.

To calculate the distance covered,

s = ut + 1/2at²

where, s  = distance

We get,

s = 20 x 6 +0.5 x 10 x 6²

Hence, s = 300 meters
