If a particle of mass M is tied to a light inextensible string fixed at point P and particle is projected at a with velocity VA=√4gL as shown.Find

ii) tension in the string at B and C.

{V}_{B} = \sqrt {2gL} (from energy conservation);

{V}_{C} =\sqrt {6gL}

\implies {T}_{B} +Mg= \frac{M{v}^{2}_{B}}{L}

{T}_{B} = Mg

{T}_{C} - Mg = \frac{M{v}^{2}_{C}}{L}

{T}_{C} =\large{\boxed{\boxed{7Mg}}} (where M \implies Mass of Particle.
