If a person had received a shock then the current had passed from his body and would be still passing if not separated from the object receiving shock.When we touch the person we too receive shock because current is still flowing from his body.So,it is advised not to touch person directly but tu use wooden because wood does not allow current to flow...

If a person gets caught by a current and we touch the person directly then we might also get the current as humans are good conductors of electricity. So we are advised to touch the person with wooden material like stick as it is a bad conductor of electricity and current won't pass through it. In this way, we won't get an electric shock and we can also remove that person who has got an electric shock from the source of electricity.
