TO PREVENT THE POISON FROM REACHING THE HEART THE BITTEN PART IS KEPT BELOW THE LEVEL OF HEART SO AS TO SLOW DOWN THE FLOW OF BLOOD FROM THAT PART AND THE POISON DOES NOT REACH THE HEART QUICKLY, AND WE GET TIME TO CURE THAT PERSON.
