i) Some people cannot see objects at long dis- tances but can see nearby objects clearly. This type of defect in vision is called Myopia. ii) For these people the maximum focal length is less than 2.5 cm.

The person is unable to see faraway abject but can see the nearby objects. These are the symptoms of myopia. In this disorder the Rays of light converge in front of the retina. In order to prevent this you need to use concave lenses that diverge the light a bit so that the lens will converge them properly.
