Given:

  • SP of saree is ₹2600
  • Profit = 30%

To find :

  • CP of saree

Solution:

Given that SP of saree is ₹2600 and profit is 30%.

Let suppose that CP of saree is x.

So, we can say that 130% of x is ₹2600 because seller is making profit of 20%

Solving this :-

130% of x = 2600

\large{\implies{\sf{\frac{130x}{100}\:=\:2600}}}

\large{\implies{\sf{130x \:=\:2600 × 100 \:=\:260000}}}

\large{\implies{\sf{x\:=\:\frac{260000}{130}}}}

\large{\implies{\sf{x\:=\:{\cancel\frac{260000}{130}}}}}

\large{\implies{\sf{x\:=\:2000}}}

Therefore,

\large{\boxed{\sf{CP of saree is ₹2000}}}
