Answer:

392 N

Explanation:

Weight = mass × acceleration due to gravity

Here mass = 40 kg

acceleration due to gravity = g = 9.8 m/s^2

Therefore Weight = 40 × 9.8 = 392 N

Given :-

Mase of a Person (m) = 40kg

To find :-

Weight (W) of a person on earth

Solution:-

We know that,

Weight (W) = Mass (m) × acceleration due to gravity (g)

And,

g = 9.8 m/s^2

m = 40kg

Then,

W = mg

W = 40 × 9.8

W = 4 × 98

W = 392 N
