If a piece of chapati is chewed for some time, it tastes sweeter. Why?

Answer:     When chapati is chewed for some time it taste sweeter because, as you know chapati is carbohydrates and it presents starch. When salivary gland secrets saliva, then it breaks carbohydrates into simple glucose that is heroes. It is generally food in our body by hydrolysis of starch.
