If a piece of iron is converted into a magnet by rubbing a bar magnet on it 30-40 times.Then if we take a iron screw or nail and then break it into 2 halves and by using the iron piece [ which now has magnetism] we try attract one of the halves of the iron screw or nail.
Will it be attracted?

Yes it will as it is a magnet it will attach with both of the iron nails

But it will attach for a little time only as it would lose its magnetic power
