 \huge{ \mathfrak{Answer}}

Given - AC = BC.

AB = AC + CB

When AC = BC, then, BC can also be written as AC.

AB= AC + AC

AC =  \frac{1} {2} AB

Hence Proved.

If a point C lies between 2 points A and B such that AC = BC, Then prove that AC = 1/2 AB.

 \mathfrak{\blue{\underline{\underline{Solution}}}}

Given:

C lies between A and B

AC = BC

To prove: AC = \dfrac{1}{2} AB

Proof:

According to question

AB = AC + BC

AB = AC + AC (Given, AC = BC)

AB = 2AC

AC = AB/2

 AC = \dfrac{1}{2}AB

Hence, proved.
