C is the mid point of line segment AB.

ie. AC=BC...................(1)

To prove- AC= 1/2 AB

proof

We know that

AC+BC=AB

AC+AC=AB       (substuting value of (1) )

2AC=AB

AC=1/2 AB

                       hence, proved.
