Answer:
we can write x^2-9=(x+3)(x-3),if we divide the polynomial f(x) by (x+3) or by(x-3) the remainder will be 3x+2 but the value of remainder changes according to the value of x.
according to the remainder theorem if we divide a polynomial p(x) by (x-a) then the remainder will be p(a)
so,if f(x) is divided by (x-3) then the remainder will be f(3) which is 3x+2
now substitute the value of x in the equation
f(3)=3(3)+2
=9+2
=11
