Answer by Theo(11342) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!

divide 3000 by 75 and you get 40.

i believe you have to add 1 to this to get a total of 41.

for example:

assume the rod is 150 meters.

150 meters divided by 75 = 2

that would be one lamppost at the 75 meter mark and 1 at the 150 meter mark, but you need one at the 0 meter mark as well so you have to add 1 to get 3 lamp posts.

solution appears to be 41.
