Quarter kg = 1000/4 = 250 gm

cost of 250 gms mangoes = 120 paise

cost of 1 gms mango will be = 120/250 = 12/25

cost of 200 grams = 12/25 * 200 = 96 paise

The answer is B, 96.

Following are the steps of construction.

if a quarter kg of mangoes cost 120

first change this into grams because we want our answer in grams

so 1 kg=1000grams

so how much grams come in 120rs.

1/4 of 1000 = 250 grams

so we know that we get 250 grams of mangoes for rs120.

now we can do direct proportion

Mangoes cost Mangoes in grams

120 250

x 200

use direct proportion:

120/x = 250/200

cross multiply and x will be 96
