price of radio = 490

sold = 465.50

so loss = 490 - 465.50 = Rs. 24.50

in percentage  = 24.50/490   x   100 = 5%

Answer: The loss percentage is 5%.

Step-by-step explanation:

Here, the cost price, C.P. = 490 rupees,

And, the selling price, S.P. = 465.50

⇒ Loss = C.P. - S.P. = 490 - 465.50 = 24.5

Since,

\text{loss percentage} = \frac{\text{ Loss}}{\text{C.P.}}\times 100

=\frac{24.5}{490}

=5\%

Hence, the loss percentage is 5 %.
