If a random sample of 10 people found that 9 were pro life while another random sample of 1000 people from the same population found that 550 were pro life which would be find more significant and why

We can find the significance by getting the percentage of the ones who are pro life with respect to each sample. The smaller the percentage the more the significance.

Larger samples increase significance because they more reliably reflect the population mean.

From the samples given above we can clearly see that the sample of 10 has a percentage of 90% whereas that of 1000 has 55% thus the population sample of 1000 is more significant.
