If a rational number a/b is said to be in standard form then the only common factor of a and b is?

Let's take an example

let A=17 B = 13,

then the factors would be

17 = 17× 1

13 = 13× 1

common factor is 1

you see in rational number as a/b a&b are co prime number...

taht is they do not have common factors other than 1...
