If a Ray of light enters from alcohol to air the refractive index of alcohol is 1.36 calculate the speed of light in alcohol with respect to air

Given :

Refractive index of Alcohol =1.36

Speed of light =C=3x10⁸ m/s

Refractive index = n=C/V

so speed of light in alcohol =C/n

==3x10⁸ /1.36

=2.2 x10⁸ m/s

∴the speed of light in alcohol with respect to air is 2.2 x10⁸ m/s
