The radius of the rear wheel is 87.5 cm.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

No. Of revolutions = 2000               [given]

Distance travelled = 11 km

= 11\times1000 m            [1 km=1000 m]

= 11000 m

Distance covered in 1 revolution

= \frac{\textrm{Distance traveled}}{\textrm{Total revolutions}}

= \frac{11\times1000}{2000}

= 5.5 m

Distance covered in 1 more revolution is nothing but the circumference of the circle.

⇒Circumference of wheel = 2\pi R

So,

2\pi R=5.5

2\times \frac{22}{7} \times R=5.5

R=\frac{5.5\times 7}{2\times22}

\frac{38.5}{44}

R=0.875 m

R=87.5 cm                  [1m = 100 cm]
