l = 12 cm

b = 9 cm

d = ?

d^2 = l^2 + b^2

d^2 = 144 + 81

d^2 = 225

d = root 225 cm = 15 cm

Both the diagonals of a rectangle are always equal.

Answer:

diagonal of rectangle =hypotenuse of triangle(using Pythagorean theorem)

                       D          =√9²+12²

                       D            =√81+144

                       D            =√225

                       D            =15
