Answer:

let ratio be x

lenth=5x

breadth=3x

perimeter=2(l+b)

perimeter=2(5x+3x)

=2*8x

16x=perimeter=64

x=64/16

x=4

put value of x

length=20cm

breadth=12cm

area=l*b

=20*12

=240cm

Given : -

If a rectangle has the ratio of its length to breadth is 5:3 and perimeter is 64 cm.

To Find : -

Area of rectangle.

Formula : -

Perimeter of Rectangle = 2(l + b)

Step-by-step Explanation : -

Length = 5y

Breadth = 3y

Perimeter = 64cm

So : -

64 = 2 × (5y + 3y)

64 = 2 × 8y

32 = 8y

y = 4

Therefore , Value of y is 4 ..

  • Length = 20cm

  • Breadth = 12cm

Hence , the length of the rectangle is 20cm and the breadth of the rectangle is 12cm ...

Formula : -

Area = l × b

According to formula : -

20 × 12

240cm

So, Area of rectangle is 240cm ..
