Answer: Length = 41.5 Feet

               Breadth = 14.5 Feet

Step-by-step explanation:

Let Width of the rectangle be = x

Therefore According to the Question : 3x-2 ------ [2 feet less than 3 times its width as given in the question]

Perimeter of a rectangle = 2 [ l + b ]

                                    54 = 2 [ (3x - 2) + x ]

                                    54/2 = 4x - 2

                                     27 + 2 = 4x

                                     ∴ x = 29/2

Hence, Width = 29/2 = 14.5 Feet

            Length = 3x - 2 = 3 × 29/2 -2

                                      =  87/2 -2

                                      =  41.5 Feet
