Given:

  • Rectangular plot is 50 cm long and 30 cm wide.

  • 1 m² cost = Rs. 100

To find out:

Find the cost of the plot ?

Formula used:

Area of rectangle = length × breadth

Solution:

We have,

Length,l = 50 cm ⇒ 50/100 = 0.5 m

Breadth,b = 30 cm ⇒ 30/100 = 0.3 m

Area of rectangle = length × breadth

Substituting the values in the above formula,we get:

Area of rectangle = 0.5 m × 0.3 m

= 5/10 m × 3/10 m

= 15/100 m²

= 0.15 m²

Now,

Cost of Plot = Rs 100 × 0.15

= Rs 100 × 15/100

= Rs 15

GIVEN:

  • Length of a rectangular plot = 50 cm
  • Breadth of the rectangular plot = 30 cm

TO FIND:

  • What is the cost of the rectangular plot ?

SOLUTION:

We know that the formula for finding the area of rectangular plot is:-

\large\bf{\star \: Area = Length \times Breadth \: \star}

According to question:-

\rm{\dashrightarrow Area = 50 \times 30 }

\bf{\dashrightarrow \star \: Area = 1500 \: cm^2 \: \star }

We have given that, the cost of 1m² plot is Rs. 100

Convert cm² into

 Area = 1500 cm²

➝  Area = 1500/10000

➝ Area = 0.15

The area of plot is 0.15

➝ \bf{ 1 \: m^2 = Rs. \: 100}

➝ \bf{ 0.15 = 0.15 \times 100}

➝ \bf{ 0.15 \: m^2 = Rs. \: 15}

Hence, the cost of 0.15 m² rectangular plot is Rs. 15
