The reason is that with the door open the refrigerator will start to rise inside the refrigerator .The thermostat will kick in and try to cool it back down . This mean the motor is running, which means heat is being added to the room.keep the door shut.

Answer:
- As a refrigerator is a heat pump.
- Hence it extracts heat from a low temperature reservoir and transfers it to a high temperature reservoir.
- Thus, refrigerator exhausts more heat into the room than it extracts from it. Hence, the room will become warm.
