if the wire is cut half and their length become half, than resistance of the wire become half also because R is directly proportional to length of wire

the resistance of the wire is directly proportional to its length.

the longer will be the wire the higher will be the resistance.

so when you cut the wire into two equal half the resistance will also be cut down into half , the resistance will be lower.
