If a ringing bell is held tightly by hand it stop producing sound why?

it's because the opposite force from our hand is applied so the Mr force is zero so there is no movement so it stops producing sound

A bell is said to ring when it produces vibrations. But when you hold the bell tightly by hand, the vibrations ceases to exist and hence it stops producing the sound.
