The height of tree is 88.8 feet .

Step-by-step explanation:

The distance of rock from base of tree = d = 60 feet

The angle of elevation to top of tree from leaf = 56°

Let The height of tree = h feet

According to question

From figure

In Δ A B C

Tan angle = \dfrac{perpendicular}{base}

or, Tan 56° = \dfrac{AC}{AB}

Or, , Tan 56° = \dfrac{h}{d}

Or, 1.48  = \dfrac{h}{60 ft}

∴         h = 1.48 × 60 ft

i.e       h = 88.8 feet

So, The height of tree = h = 88.8 feet

Hence, The height of tree is 88.8 feet . Answer
