Given :-

• A room is 7m long and 18m wide

• The cost of the carpet at the rate of 15 per meter square.

Solution :-

Length of the room = 7m

Breath of the carpet = 18m

As we know that,

Area of rectangle = Length * Breath

Area of rectangle = 7 * 18

Area of rectangle = 126 m^2

Now,

The cost of the carpet at the rate of per meter square = Rs 15

Therefore,

The rate of carpet to cover the room

= 126 * 15 = Rs.1890

Hence, The cost of carpet to cover the room = Rs. 1890.
