Given,

The height of A is 40% less than the height of B.

To find,

The percentage by which the height of B is more than the height of the A.

Solution,

Let, the height of B = x cm

(Assume, x as a variable to do the further mathematical calculations.)

According to the data mentioned in the question,

The height of A will be

= x - (x×40/100)

= x - (x × 4/10)

= x - 2x/5

= 5x-2x/5

= 3x/5 cm

Now, the height difference of A and B,

= Height of B - Height of A

= x - 3x/5

= 2x/5 cm

Percentage difference = 100 × (2x/5 ÷ 3x/5)

= 100 × (2x/5 × 5/3x)

= 100 × 2/3

= 200/3

= 66.66%

Hence, the height of B is 66.66% more than the height of A.
