Given that he makes 1450 on commission alone.

⇒5% of Total sales=1450

100

5

× Total=1450

Total=29000

Given that he earns 1% on excess of sales of 20000

Earnings=1% of excess

=

100

1

×(29000−20000)

=90

∴He earns Rs.90
