Maximum velocity = angular velocity*amplitude

wherein

The x will be the displacement from the mean position

And A will be an Amplitude.

The simple pendulum oscillates with amplitude of 50 mm

And the time period is 2 sec

So the angular velocity = 2(pi)/T

= 2(pi)/2

= pi.

The maximum velocity = pi(3.14)*0.05

Now the amplitude = 0.05m

Therefore the maximum velocity is = 0.15 m/s

Answer:

0.16m/s

Explanation:

V = WA                                                                                                                                             then v= 2pi / T x A                                                                                                           , v=2x 3.14 / 2 x 50 x 10^-3                                                                                                   therefore, ans = 0.16 by (rounding off)
