"When a sphere is cut into two equal halves, it forms hemispheres.

Then,

CSA of a Sphere = 4 Πr²

CSA of each hemisphere = 2 Π r²

=> CSA of 2 hemispheres = 2 * 2Π r² = 4 Π r²

(3) And total surface area will be…

TSA of a sphere = 4 Π r²

TSA of each hemisphere

=area ( Curved surface + Base surface )

= 2 pΠ r² + pΠ r²

= 3 pΠ r²

So, 2 hemisphere together will have 6 pΠ r² as its total area.

Thus, when a sphere is cut into halves, its TSA is affected.
