Whole sphere → Area = 4πR^{2}

After cutting into two, Area = 4πR^{2} + πR^{2} + πR^{2}

                                             = 6πR^{2}

So, area will become 3/2 times the original area

Let r= Radius of sphere,

Surface area of sphere=4*π*r^2

And Volume= 4/3*π*r^3

After cutting the sphere

New vol=2*1/2*(4/3*π*r^3)=4/3*π*r^3

No change in volume..

New surface area=2*circulars Area*curved spherical area=2*π*r^2+4*π*r^2=6*π*r^2

Change in surface area=50% increase due to cut.
