To convert m/s to km/hr , direct multiply with 18/5
so, speed in km/hr = 100/9.83 × 18/5
=36.62 km/h

Hi !!!

Distance covered by sprinter = 100 m

Time taken to cover 100 m by the sprinter = 9.83 s

Speed = Distance covered / Time taken

average \: speed \: of \: the \: sprinter \: = \frac{100}{9.83} = 10.17 \: m {s}^{ - 1}

Speed in km/h

To convert m/s to km/h , multiply the number with 18/5

Speed \: of \: sprinter \: in \: km/h = \frac{10.17 \times 18}{5} = 36.612 \: km {h}^{ - 1}
or else ....

 speed \: in \: km \: per \: hour \: = \frac{ \frac{10.17}{1000} }{ \frac{1}{60 \times 60} } = \frac{10.17 \times 60 \times 60}{1000} = 36.612km {h}^{ - 1} ......(converting \: m \: to \: km \: and \: second \: to \: hours
