bonjour dear!

here is your answer

__________________________________________________________________________

a² - 5a - 1 = 0 ⇒a² - 1 = 5a

(a)² - 1/(a)² = (a - 1/a)² + 2 = (a² - 1)²/(a²) + 2 = (5a)²/(a²) + 2 = 25 + 2 = 27

hope this helps

if u like mark it as brainliest
