Answer:

a² + b² = 34

(a+b)² -2ab = 34

(a+b)² -2× 15 = 34

(a+b)² -30 = 34

(a+b)². = 34+30= 64

a+b = √64. = 8

now

a² + b² = 34

(a-b)² +2ab = 34

(a-b)² +2×15 =34

(a-b)². = 34- 30

= 4

a-b = √4 = 2
