if a square + b square is equal to hundred and ab is equal to 48 then a + b is equals to?​

a²+b²=100

ab=48

(a+b)²=a²+b²+2ab

=100+2(48)

=100+96

(a+b)²=196

taking square root on both side

a+b= 14

hence the answer to a+b is 14
