if a square of side 1.5m is cut out from a square plastic sheet of side 3m, find the area of the remaining sheet.​

The original square has the sides of 3m each.

Then the original area = 3² m² = 9 m²

When the plastic is cutted from the original sheet, the dimension of the plastic is 1.5 m

Hence the area of the remaining sheet is 9 - 3 = 6 m² (Answer.)
