if a student attempt 84 question out of 100 in which 20 are wrong how much marks he got if each correct answer having 2 marks and each wrong answer have negative marking of 0.5.

Marks cut =20×0.5=10
Marks got=(84-20)×2=128
Therefore, total maks got =128-10=118

118 marks because he attempted only 84 and 20were wrong so
84-20=64
64*2=128
20*0.5=10
128-10=118
