Given :-
- Final velocity (v) = 6 ms-¹
- Acceleration (a) = -0.2 ms-²
- Time (t) = 4 sec
To Find :-
- Initial velocity of the train.
Solution :-
Applying 1st eqn of motion,
⭐ v = u + at
Where,
- v = Final velocity
- u = Initial velocity
- a = Acceleration
- t = Time
[ Put the values ]
6 = u + -0.2 × 4
6 = u - 0.8
-u = -6 - 0.8
-u = -6.8
u = 6.8 ms-¹
Hence,
- The initial velocity of the train is 6.8 ms-¹.
For information:
- S = ut + 1/2 at²
- v² = u² + 2as
