if a train travels (30a square +15a-10) km in 10 hours ,what is its average speed?

solution : distance travelled by train, S = (30a² + 15a - 10)km

= 5(6a² + 3a - 2) km

time taken by train to travel distance S = T = 10 hours.

we know,

speed = distance travelled/time taken

= S/T

= 5(6a² + 3a - 2)/10

= (6a² + 3a - 2)/2

= 3a² + (3/2)a - 1

hence, average speed of train is, 3a² + (3/2)a - 2
