prove that the area of the triangle is equal to half of the area of parallelogram.

Since they're on the same base
Btriangle= bparallelogram

Since they're between same parallels
Htriangle= Hparallelogram

Area of triangle=1/2 btriangle. Htriangle

Area of parallelogram = bparallelogram.hparallelogram

Therefore area of triangle is 1/2 the area of parallelogram
